“Let go of the world and return to the Self."
- Lao Tzu
It seems that everywhere I look, there is some form of existentialism currently in the spotlight.
Of the subscriptions I enjoy both on and off Substack, I’ve noticed that in some flavour or other, we’re all on the same page in observing where the current state of the world, particularly the online one, is leading, along with how we fit in with that, or even if we do at all.
And if we don’t, then what?
From the relentlessly manipulative shark-pool of hustle culture funnels, magnets and algorithms creating nothing but unrealistic agenda-driven expectations, to the language and behaviour of those bending themselves further out of shape in a bid to fit in and belong, I’ve recently found myself taking a larger side-step away than normal to listen and communicate my own existential direction.
The answer lies within our roots. We need to understand why we're doing what we’re doing. What is the meaning of our making?
This isn’t to determine a worldview but to be curious in noticing the tensions and contradictions that may lie in our individual method of behaving. Of living, of surviving, in our daily lives.
Most of us don’t know what it means to thrive. What is all the noise for? What is the need to be seen really for? Is to feel personally valued? Is it habit? Is it for a justice-based cause or a larger community reason?
If you know the answer, great! If not, you may find yourself experiencing all manner of existential energy right now, and to understand what this means for you is to become extra vigilant throughout November and into next year, because this month is our call from within to go within.
This long-form piece for November brushes on meaning, identity, unity and roots in recognition of being called to something greater.
Justice and Hierophant by Deckstiny: Linescape Evolution Gold Tarot
Throughout November, we’re being asked to examine what our path in life is, to the level of our present awareness, together with how we can not only understand our individual message, but communicate it with integrity, depth, love and kindness.
I’m here in this time, so I must have agreed at some point to belong here for however long. For all of my current 48 years, I’ve related to topics around time-travel, the supernatural and existentialism.
I’m deeply intuitive, know my forever home isn’t here and that I currently exist within a man-made hourglass. And, I seem to hear the sand running through louder than those around me.
I accept my limited time to make a difference with the life I choose to live being one of simplicity, observation, nurturing and support.
I’ve always had a pull that I’m here for a specific reason, but a push that it’s not a world I fit in with. I’m here for reasons of justice, to be part of the uprising, to be part of The Change.
I’m not entirely exempt from feeling fear. The more the world blows up, the further away I want to be, but at the same time, respond with support to the people asking the deeper questions.
Like you, I have a role to fulfill in my current existence and lessons to learn that gets me there. And whilst the wording looks the same, this awareness for me goes beyond purpose - which is multi-faceted.
I get asked ‘What’s it all about?’ all the time.
It’s not for me to point out your right way of doing something because a way that has to be told to you won’t be your way. I can hear the voice of your soul though. And I tell you what it’s saying until you can hear it yourself.
I’ll also say this. Some souls have come here to experience the most dreadful things, whilst others have been there, done that and have come to smell the roses for a change. That’s why you’ll observe a range; some have been born with that metaphorical silver spoon in their mouth whilst others arrive in the middle of a paddy field owning nothing but a smile. And there are of course a myriad of gradients within this spectrum.
Your experiences are mostly to do with the path your soul chose prior to incarnation to support the lessons needed for your soul to evolve. Which in turn, provide lessons for others because we’re all connected.
Throughout November, we’re being asked to examine the root of our individuality before ‘The Others’ attempt to further determine it for those who are still listening to them… instead of themselves.
Identity
There’s barely a living soul left that isn’t now au fait with this word. The development to ascertain with who or what we identify with is not a coincidence. Nor do I believe it’s political.
It’s a divinely timed movement that is setting the foundation for us to distill our personal power.
I’m not going to get into the rapacious corruption or methods of distraction at any level. I’m sure you’re aware this is happening, and the point is, this November energy is honing your focus to go within to strengthen your sense of self so you metaphorically become Polytetrafluoroethylene - or ‘non stick’ - for the upcoming collapse of injustice.
That is the message that is coming across loud and clear to me with those big card cheerleaders up there.
Some people are here to be of support; you may know them identifying as ‘lightworkers’.
You may even find yourself being drawn more to the spiritual arts in pursuit of answers whereas previously you had no interest. Spirituality is not religion. It doesn’t assume to control, govern, restrict or set rules. It promotes an individualised grounded freedom to be who you are. Many more are now discovering this.
You’ll recognise spiritual lightworkers because some have led expedited lives akin to a baptism of fire, which to some level ‘qualifies’ them to help others. Lightworkers often gain their inner knowing because they’ve been forced to go within to find their roots when the outside world becomes ‘too much’. They’ve often led chaotic lives and been projected as ‘too much’ for those around them.
Our soul contracts mean we are hard wired with an insight that is almost impossible to prove until after the event. We promote trust and show you how to listen to your inner knowing and learn to trust yourself. Because we’ve learned how to do that ourselves. We lead by example and are often quiet and introspective but come to life in writing and amongst our kindred souls.
For example, some of the ways in which I inspire people range from reflecting your experiences, communicating your opportunities, personal growth and potential. I show you how to set and look after your boundaries, manage emotional upheaval, reduce the impact of change, overcome denial, fear of change and choose balanced ways in which you can inwardly align for outward transformation.
Lightworkers come in a variety of unlimited outfits from Nurses to Intuitives, to Teachers to Artists and beyond. It’s important you work with someone you feel drawn to, and likewise, you’ll do your best work if you’re both in rapport. The outcome should be the same; we’re here to reflect your inner truth until you’re confident in hearing it yourself, because the more you listen, the LOUDER your inner voice gets and the sooner you’re living a conscious life that matches your intention.
Each of us holds the answers we seek within us.
November’s energy is drawing you within to pause, connect with your intuition, listen, hear and determine the root of your role for the coming year and beyond.
Unity
Over the course of my life I’ve had instantaneous soul recognition with the main players. These have taken on many relationship forms, but the point is, I knew them before I saw their face. These relationships formed the basis of my integral phases.
And I’m sure there's several more to come - they’re my soul tribe.
For example, around age 9 I felt something, or someone pulling me from England to New Zealand, my understanding of which continues to unfold. I know part of my role is to unite on a complementary level with this person who’s face, for over four decades I didn’t know.
From the moment I saw them, it was immediate. Their energy was encoded within my soul that with just one breath sparked recognition. Several lifetimes flashed before me and I knew that whilst whole in myself, we shared a symphony that contributed to our creation.
This isn’t meant to sound like a sonnet, I’m being honest. This phase is in harmony with meaningful difference.
All these people are essential parts of my root, and you’ll know what I’m talking about when you reflect on your own relationships.
My kiwi counterpoint forms the direction of the latter half of my life that began the moment we reacquainted. They’re part of the reason for my life’s training and the time to put that into practical action is approaching. I’ve a catalogue of intuitive experiences to know it, prove it, and I’m alongside several others that have had, or are currently having similar experiences.
But what does this mean? I know what it means for me, but how about you?
What are you hearing in your own life?
What are you noticing?
What do you feel, or sense is happening for you?
Create a timeline and observe your experiences and progression.
The plates are shifting. The chess board has been laid out and everyone is going where they’re needed.
Each one of us has more than one role in our lives. And each one feeds the other. Whilst individually varying, we are uniting all the time with our soul tribe that assists us and teaches us to shape and create the difference that supports the evolution of ourselves and humanity as a whole.
That’s why competing is only fueling the antithesis that keeps you from your role if connection, love, integrity, peace, authenticity, justice and humanitarianism are your focus.
Let technology be the machine that unites us. Use it to support your cause and not battle. We’re all connected and the more we get sucked into the intentionally generated polarity, the further away from ourselves we become.
“Don't overlook the basics or ignore the foundation. How long can a tree remain standing without the roots?”
- James Clear
Roots
November is about remembering why we’re here. And to do that, you simply have to go within and connect the dots. Be peaceful. Be introspective. Pause and listen to your heart. Go outside. Get your feet in the earth. Or even the ocean.
Year in year out the seasons change. They do their thing on time every time. The moon and planets also do their thing. Their energy ebbs and flows and ours does alongside. The largest body of the water on the planet obeys because it supports life systems dependent on its movement.
And so must we. It’s reported the human body is 60% water. So if we don’t move, we’re stagnant. If we don’t look within, we’re blind. If we continually feel we’re not enough, we go around in circles uninspired and demotivated.
It’s not about spiritual gymnastics, it’s about living naturally.
Each one of us has core values set deep in the heart of our souls. They’re our compass. They show us the route to our roots. The treasure is to honour ourselves; to stand in our independent strength and move through our seasons whilst accumulating wisdom to share and support the circle of life so we may continually, learn and evolve.
For some countries, seasons aren’t a thing. In the Southern hemisphere where I am, Spring has sprung, summer approaches and creation is doing it’s thing. In the Northern hemisphere, the leaves are falling, the shedding is in full flow and letting go is the focus.
Where do you fit in with the energy of your land? What have you learned? What are you creating or detaching from as we approach 2024?
Time of course is ‘just’ a number. However, numbers are powerful.
This particular approaching year number is a numerological 8. One of self authority, and of balancing the material and spiritual worlds. We need to recognise the illusory nature of our material world and reclaim personal strength, respect, integrity and higher purpose.
The numerological seasons have shown us identity, connection, celebration, apathy, change and the truth. How will you reflect your time here? What’s important to you? What do you feel you cannot exist without? What is your individual message? Who is singing the same song as you and who can you form a harmonious choir with?
These are questions the eleventh month asks of us, which is the potent root master number.
November is inviting us to leave what we no longer need, respect the work of our ancestors, and continue to grow stronger through our generations.
We need to understand, to love and to believe in ourselves. We need to utilise our creativity, to serve humanity and promote interconnection and collective consciousness.
We don’t need to compete. This myth keeps the cycle of manipulation evolving. We don’t need to feed the machine to be seen. Quite the opposite.
The online world is new and our natural world turned successfully for aeons without it. I’m not promoting a time of reversal, but I am inviting you to reconsider your path of meaningful participation if like me, you feel you don’t fit in or belong in the majority of its sphere of altruistic influence.
Consider how you can naturally bloom as strongly as the individual you inherently were born to be in whatever size, shape, location or capacity that is.
Feed your offline roots. It won’t deter your destiny as I’ve illustrated above with my emigration.
As we approach a year of focussed honesty and integrity, consider the legacy you’re leaving, and how you can detach yourself from the engineered conformity, manipulation, schedule and plan.
What valued space are you getting involved with?
As the sun sets on each of your November days, consider how you will define yourself. The world of deceit comes apart at the seams with the strength of the masses when we reclaim, uphold and live by our assured individualism and independent strength.
How will you move towards yours? Go within and listen to the response. Listen for awareness. With practice, you’ll find your roots, your role and where you belong.
